Workflow and Business Process Management

StarPound delivers convergence and SOA capabilities in the context of a business process. StarPound applications are created using StarPound Studio, a business process modeling (BPM) application with a powerful development toolset.

Using StarPound Studio, a business analyst or developer drags and drops process elements onto a work flow model to represent web forms, IVR prompts, database queries, and more. When deployed, the resulting StarPound application controls the customer's interaction across all media channels and guides the customer through the necessary steps to complete the required task.

Open Source Solution

To achieve the functionality of a StarPound multi-channel SOA application, a systems vendor must typically spend months developing an integrated solution. And those solutions often run on expensive proprietary hardware.

StarPound applications are converged and composite by design, so no complex middleware integration is required. And StarPound is built on open source technologies like Linux and JBoss, which can run on inexpensive commodity hardware. But inexpensive doesn't mean low performance—the StarPound architecture can be implemented in a large-scale robust configuration for optimum performance.
