What are the requirements for a StarPound Live user?
A person who will use StarPound Live to receive contact requests needs:
- A broadband connection to the internet (DSL recommended)
- A recent browser (Internet Explorer x.x, Firefox x.x)
- A softphone, such as XLite, the free softphone from CounterPath that we recommend
- Optionally, users may want a headset for best audio on calls

What do my web site visitors need to make a call using StarPound Live?
The only requirement for visitors to your web site is that they use a Java-compliant browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
To use Click-to-Talk and Click-to-Voicemail, their computer must be equipped with a microphone.

Can I run it on a Mac? Can we use Safari, Opera, or some other browser?
StarPound Live has been extensively tested with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox on Windows computers. We have performed limited testing on Safari for Windows and the Mac.

Can I use Skype or GoogleTalk instead of the StarPound Live softphone?
No, not at this time.
